When does the silent auction open and close?

The silent auction will open on Thursday, September 11th at 12:00 P.M. and close on Thursday, September 18th at 8:30 P.M. 

Is a credit card required to participate in the silent auction?

Yes, a pre-registered credit card is required to begin bidding and can be done prior to the event. Credit cards on file will be processed on Thursday, September 18th by 8:30 P.M. If you would like to complete payment through another method (i.e. check), please visit the silent auction room/check-out table at the event after the auction has closed.

How can I keep active and know if I am outbid or have won an item?

You will be notified via text if you have been outbid. Keep an eye on your favorite items! If you are NOT receiving the text messages, make sure you have the correct mobile number under your profile. The texts will continue to notify you when you have been outbid or reached your maximum bid. When the silent auction closes, you will also receive a text message if you won any items.

How will I collect my winnings?

The winner must pick up item(s) the night of the event at Children's Beach House.  If the winner is not at the event, the item(s) won will have to be collected at a later date in coordination with the Development Director of Delaware.

Will I receive a charitable contribution deduction for item(s) won through the auction?

You may claim a charitable contribution deduction for the excess of the purchase price paid for an item over its fair market value.  Example: FMV of an item is $100.  If you win the item for $125, you can claim a charitable contribution deduction of $25.
