Information & FAQs

Where does the money go?
All proceeds from the Event support enrichment programs for the students at SRTMS.

Can I bring my kids?
As much as we love our kiddos, this is an adult only event.

What is the dress code?

Cocktail attire is always appropriate to wear.  This year's theme, however, is the Kentucky Derby so we hope that you will embrace the theme and don your finest Derby attire. The most prominent fashion statement of the Derby is of course, the elaborate hats! Otherwise, Derby fashion includes pastels, vibrant colors, florals, and wild and bold patterns, all meant to stand out!  Check out this link for ideas: WHAT TO WEAR

How can I donate to the auction?
If you have something you'd like to donate to the silent or live auction please contact srtmsdda@srtmspto.com.

Can my business sponsor the event?
We have many sponsorship opportunities and look forward to partnering with you! Please contact fundraising@srtmspto.com for more information.

Is there assigned seating? What if I want to sit with my friends?
Yes, seating will be assigned.  The best way to guarantee that you sit with your friends is to purchase a table and split the cost.

What if I can't come to the event but still want to participate?
Don't worry, you can participate in the silent auction from home! (see below for further details)

What time will dinner be served?
6:30pm

If I purchased a ticket and end up not being able to attend, can I get a refund?
All ticket sales are final.  If you are able to find someone to go in your place you can contact us about transferring your ticket into someone else's name.

How does the silent auction work?
We will be using mobile bidding for the silent auction. You will be able to use your smartphone, tablet, or computer (if bidding from home) to keep up with the status of your bids and continue until the auction closes. You can be the winning bidder wherever you are!

How do I participate in the online bidding auction?
Get started online through this auction's home page. Just click the 'Register Now' button and enter your information. Credit card information is required to bid.

How do I start and continue my bidding?
Browse the silent auction once it is live and start bidding on your favorite items! Place your bid on selected items and use the Auto Bid tab to set a maximum bid if desired.  If you use the Auto Bid feature, GiveSmart will continue to bid for you to keep you in the running until you reach the maximum bid amount set by you.

How can I keep active and know if I am outbid or have won an item?
You will be notified via text if you have been outbid. Always make sure to keep an eye on your favorite items! If you are NOT receiving the text messages, make sure you have the correct mobile number under your profile.  The texts will continue to notify you when you have been outbid or reach your maximum bid.  When the silent auction closes, you will also receive a text message if you have won any items.

What if I want to pay for my winnings by check?
A credit card is required to participate in the silent/live auction, however, if you'd prefer to pay by check, just let our volunteers know at the check out table at the end of the evening.  Make sure you DO NOT use the self check out option through the website, as that will charge your credit card on file. Checks will be made payable to SRTMS PTO.

How will I collect my winnings?
Auction winners are required to make payment the night of the event.  You will be able to Check Out through your mobile device using your credit card on file or visit the Check Out table for assistance, including making payment with a check.  Once you have checked out, you will show your PAID invoice to the volunteers at the Item Redemption table to receive your items.  Any unpaid invoices after the event will be processed automatically using the credit card on file. Any items left behind will be collected by a PTO representative and arrangements for pick up can be made by contacting: srtmsdda@srtmspto.com
