Please note that volunteers will be near the silent auction table to assist with bidding if needed.
What should I wear?
Business casual attire.
Where do the funds raised from this event go?
Catholic Charities thanks all of our sponsors and donors for their generosity and support! In addition to the annual Bishop's Appeal, United Way, fees for services, investment income, and contract awards, we must still rely on the additional generosity of others to make up approximately 19% of our $3.7 million operating budget. This Inspired to Act event is an effort to make that up and to work to build financial sustainability. By attending this event, you are making a tangible difference in the lives of others!
Can I just donate if I'm unable to attend the event due to other plans?
Of course, and we thank you for your generous support! Simply click the "Donate" tab at the top of this webpage and then select the "Click to Donate" item to make a tax-deductible donation. You may also participate in the silent auction without attending the live event.
How does checkout work?
At the end of the evening, guests can do their checkout on their phone. Guests will receive a checkout link. If wishing to pay via cash or check, please visit the checkout table near the entrance. Payment in full is required before taking any silent auction items home at the event. (if you are not present at the event, the amount of the silent auction item you won will be charged to your credit card on file at 9pm and staff will contact you on Monday, May 12th to coordinate item pick up.) All outstanding pledges will be automatically checked out at 9pm and charged to the credit card on file.
How do credit card processing fees work?
Credit card processing fees are incurred by Catholic Charities for credit card transactions. Guests can graciously choose to pay those credit card processing fees if desired. The average credit card processing fee is 3.5% of the total purchased but varies by merchant.
