1) Who will be attending the 20th Anniversary Celebration?
The event will include HWIS parents, past and present, along with HWIS alumni, faculty, and other special guests who've made an impact on HudsonWay's 20-year journey.
2) Where will the celebration be held?
The celebration will take place aboard the Spirit of New Jersey with a sunset cruise along the Hudson River, offering breathtaking views of Manhattan and the Jersey coast.
3) What time can guests board in New Jersey?
Cruise check-in at Lincoln Harbor Marina (1500 Harbor Blvd, Weehawken) begins at 5:45 PM with boarding commencing at 6:30 PM in advance of the scheduled 6:50 PM departure.
4) What time can guests board in New York?
Cruise check-in at Pier 61 at Chelsea Piers (111 Eleventh Ave, Manhattan) begins at 6:45 PM with boarding commencing at 7:20 PM in advance of the scheduled 7:35 PM departure.
5) What time will the cruise return to New Jersey and New York?
The boat will dock in NJ at 10:00 PM and in NY at 10:30 PM.
6) Is there parking available at either port?
City Cruises by Hornblower does not own or operate parking facilities.
For the NJ port: Complimentary parking for Saturday cruise guests is available at the Sheraton Hotel (500 Harbor Blvd; South Harbor Blvd entrance) on a first-come, first-served basis. Paid parking is available directly across from the marina; prices and availability subject to change. See here for directions and rates.

7) Are children welcome at the event?
This is an adults-only event for guests ages 21+ years.
8) Will there be childcare options?
Unfortunately, babysitting services will not be offered; please plan accordingly.
9) How can I purchase tickets?
Tickets can be purchased online. EARLY BIRD ticket sales run from March 31-April 25; EAGLE general admission tickets are available through May 23. Tickets will not be sold at either dock.
10) Can individuals, families, small businesses, or corporations become event sponsors?
Yes, anyone can be a sponsor to help enhance our celebration. Various sponsorship levels are available through May 23. Learn more here.
11) What is the theme?
The event theme is "The Roaring 2020s," commemorating 20 years of remarkable HudsonWay milestones.
12) Is there a dress code?
Cocktail attire with or without a Gatsby nod! Open-toed shoes are permitted on the boat, but not recommended by City Cruises.
13) Will food and drinks be provided?
Guests can enjoy a selection of food and beverages throughout the evening, including dinner and an open bar featuring beer, wine, and soda; cocktails will be available for purchase. Please email hwispa-ny@hwis.org in advance if you have any specific dietary needs.
14) What activities can we expect during the celebration?
The evening will feature speeches from key figures in the HudsonWay community, a live DJ, dancing, a randomly selected door prize (one ticket included with admission), and ample opportunities to socialize and celebrate our school's achievements over the past 20 years.
15) Will there be a live auction on the cruise?
The 20th Anniversary Celebration planning committee is prioritizing community and connection over fundraising, so HWISPA-NY is solely hosting an online silent auction this year to benefit our annual charitable efforts.
16) Will there be any special guests or speakers?
We are thrilled to welcome several special guests, including alumni, faculty, and those who have meaningfully contributed to the school's journey.
17) How can I get involved or volunteer for the event?

18) How would the event be impacted by inclement weather?
The boat is equipped to handle various weather conditions. In the unlikely event of severe weather that could affect safety, any changes or cancellations will be communicated accordingly. Learn more about the vessel here.
19) How can I stay updated about the event?
You can expect timely updates to be sent via email, published on the HWIS-NY 20th Anniversary Celebration homepage, and shared in the HWIS-NY Highlights newsletter (Google Sign-in required). HWISPA-NY ticket holders will also receive automated event reminders through GiveSmart; standard text message rates may apply.
