Athletic Boosters Parent Volunteers

Charlie and Christine Spann are being jointly honored as O'Connell All-Stars for their ongoing dedication and commitment to supporting the Athletics Boosters in a variety of ways.

For the past eight years, Charlie has been a cornerstone of the Athletic Boosters, serving with unwavering dedication as the Treasurer. His meticulous attention to detail and financial acumen have been instrumental in maintaining a balanced budget, while ensuring each sports team receives the precise allocations for parent volunteers. With honesty, integrity, and a commitment to transparency, Charlie has earned the trust and respect of fellow booster members as well as the broader school community.

Christine, a seasoned and reliable volunteer and has worked side by side with the Athletic Booster Presidents for over a decade, helping concessions at both indoor and outdoor events. Beyond concessions, Christine has also taken on a leadership role in moderating The Water Club, overseeing the water stations during the highly anticipated Bishop O'Connell 5K Fun Runs, where her dedication to hydration and support for runners has been invaluable.

In addition to her key roles with the Athletic Boosters, Christine served as the Volleyball Booster Representative for three years, where her passion for the sport and her ability to connect with others helped foster a strong, vibrant volleyball community. Similarly, Charlie proudly represented the Girls Basketball team as an Athletic Booster Representative, further showcasing his commitment to supporting all athletic programs at DJO.

Whether it's assisting with concessions, leading volunteer efforts, or supporting the overall athletic program, Christine and Charlie embody the spirit of service that strengthens the fabric of the DJO community. Their dedication and willingness to give back are truly appreciated by all who have had the pleasure of working alongside them.
