Kirstin Lawler
2025 O'Connell All Star
PTO Parent Volunteer
Kirstin and her husband Chris, are the proud parents of Madelaine '21, Charlotte '24, and Penelope '26. Kirstin has been involved in many PTO/PTAs either as an officer or a set of helping hands, both when stationed abroad in the UK - the girls were at St. Louis Academy, and stateside when her girls attended St. Anthony's and St. James. She has been involved in the Parent Teacher Organization at Bishop O'Connell since Madelaine started at the school in 2017.
Kirstin's first role with the O'Connell PTO was as the Volunteer Coordinator. She held the Volunteer Coordinator position at the same time she was the PTO President at St. Anthony's! Kirstin was the Volunteer Coordinator at O'Connell for two years, and then stepped up to serve as the Vice President. Kirstin served as Vice President with Diane Black for two years. She reached the summit of O'Connell's PTO and is currently serving as the President. Her presidential tenure began with the 2023-2024 school and will end with this school year.
When she served as Vice President with Diane Black, Kirstin helped forge the PTO's motto "Many hands make light work." She is also fond of saying "if it isn't broken, don't fix it" regarding PTO's many spectacular events. Her leadership has increased the number of parent socials, and other events, plus she's always willing to represent PTO around school. One of Kirstin's favorite events is the annual "Mother's Tea" held in September.
While Kirstin has greatly enjoyed her tenure serving the DJO community with PTO, she is very much looking forward to her new role as mentor to a new set of leaders for the 2025-2026 school year.
