Alison has been with the Abilis Family since 2017 and in that short time has enjoyed many activities with the LEAP Day Program.

She is a wonderful artist and loves to be with friends and sing at musical theater.

"Stay Close to What Keeps You Feeling Alive"

Amie has been a participant with Abilis since 2023 when she joined the greenhouse where she helped plant seeds for microgreens and learn about the environment. She also helped in the Gift Shop with selling handmade Abilis products.

Amie has transitioned into the Competitive Employment Program where she holds a part time position at a local bakery. She enjoys being around her peers attending activities with her housemates as well.

"Festive Flowers"

Barbara joined the Abilis Family in 2010 as part of the day program taking trips into the community.

She worked at the original Abilis Gift Shop where she helped label soap, merchandise the store and learn customer service and other retail tasks. As the years have passed, Barbara has transitioned into the Seniors program where she is enjoying painting, listening to music and taking periodic trips to exercise class as well as the nature center and museums.

"Farm Animals "

Eytan is a 38-year-old participant who recently transitioned to the Abilis day program. Before the day program Eytan enjoyed his days entertaining elementary school children by playing his keyboard.

He enjoys art and at one point dabbled in selling t-shirts and other items featuring his original art painted on them. Since being at the Abilis day program he has been helping with shredding, making products for the Gardens & Gifts shop as well has sold some treats at the Abilis Cafe

"Kitty Kat"

Helen became part of the Abilis Family in 2001. She has been a participant in many programs throughout the years. She worked competitively at first but then transitioned to the Abilis Day Program.

Currently she is enjoying being a part of the Abilis Arts Program where she has been making new products to sell in the Abilis Gardens & Gifts Store. Helen loves being with friends and helping others.

"Classic Ride"

Jack is 62 years old and is currently in the Abilis Environmental Enrichment Group. He enjoys hikes, exploring nature, and socializing with his peers. He lives in an Abilis residential home where he attends activities with his housemates

"Hidden Shapes "

Kristy is 50 years of age and has been a participant with Abilis since 2008. She resides in one of the Abilis residential homes with her 2 housemates. Kristy enjoys arts, music, and most of all being a part of the day program in the Abilis Gardens & Gifts Shop. She loves helping customers, making jewelry and being the Assistant Manager.

"Abstracts "

Lisa has been a participants since 2019 and had been employed at Purchase college up until 2023 when she officially retired. She is currently working in the Abilis Arts Program where she is enjoying being with her peers doing holiday projects to be sold in the Gardens & Gifts Shop.

"In the Desert"

Misa is a 46-year-old participant at Abilis who not only enjoys art, but she also loves being a part of the Abilis Gardens & Gifts Shop. Misa has learned many skills in her 15 years with Abilis from seeding microgreens, conditioning flowers, making jewelry as well as making candles and diffusers. Misa is also a musician and on occasion plays the piano at Greenwich Greens to the delight of the senior residents there.

Seth has enjoyed being with the Abilis Family since 2016 where he has been participating in our LEAP Day Program. His day is based in the community where he does coffee runs for the BOE or Town Hall employees. He loves being with friends and attending activities such as cooking class and music.
