Live Auction Rules

  1. To enter a bid, the bidder must raise his/her bid number and direct a signal to the auctioneer.
  2. No bid shall be honored unless it is made with a bid number.
  3. The highest bidder acknowledged by the auctioneer shall be the purchaser. In the event of a dispute, the auctioneer shall have sole and final authority to determine the successful bidder or to re-offer and resell the item.
  4. The auctioneer reserves the right to open with a minimum bid and to reject any bid that, in his opinion, is not commensurate with the value of the item being offered.
  5. Successful bidders must have a receipt in hand when retrieving their merchandise. Receipts will be available at checkout.
  6. Payment must be made with credit card (swiped at Registration or at Checkout), cash, or check.
  7. All items are sold "as is". All sales are final. No exchanges or refunds on auction items are allowed.
  8. The Cancer Foundation for New Mexico makes no warranties or representations of any kind.
  9. Values listed in the program are good faith estimates of fair market value as determined by the donor who donated the items.
  10. By their purchase the buyer waives any claim for liability against either the Cancer Foundation or the donor.

 

Silent Auction Rules

  1. No bid shall be honored unless it is made with a bid number.

  2. Pay the "Buy-It-Now Price" amount listed at the bottom of the bid sheet and win your item immediately - no additional bidding necessary!

  3. Bids must begin at or above the minimum opening bid and increase by specified increments to be valid.

  4. In case of an apparent "tie", bidders will be given the opportunity to submit a sealed bid under supervision of a Cancer Foundation auction volunteer or staff. If you are in a heated bidding situation, please let an auction volunteer know.

  5. All bidding stops at specified closing times. Closings are displayed on the art tables and will be announced over the PA system.

  6. After viewing and/or bidding on items, please move on to allow other patrons to view items and bid.

  7. Auction item payment/checkout begins at 8:15 p.m. and will remain open until 15 minutes after the conclusion of the Live Auction. Please pay for your item and pick up from the appropriate auction
    display table.

  8. Make sure to check back at the table to see if you are the winning bidder! Please don't leave the Convention Center without checking out your item(s). There is no guarantee of the safety of your item(s) if not picked up the night of the Auction.
